Experimental Movement Concepts is proud to offer art lessons for students ages 4 to 104 in our Young @ Art studio. Art lessons are taught in a fun, creative environment that encourages students to enjoy the process of creating unique art as much as seeing a finished project.
EMC's objective is to highlight the creativity of each student and to enhance the way art is viewed in everyday life.
Our resident art instructor will strive to make art an adventure for students while providing the opportunity to discover the world through art.
Students will learn about the various elements of art and apply their knowledge to many different types of media. In addition to hands on learning, exposure to art history and diverse artists our program will provide students an insight as to how art has shaped life throughout history.
Come and explore the world of art at Experimental Movement Concepts and discover the artist in you.
Art Discovery, Art Adventure, Art Exploration classes will introduce students to a variety of media over the session. Drawing, painting, printmaking, papier mache, fiber arts, sculpture, mosaics, and more will be presented.
Not only does EMC provide the Young @ Art students with creative art instruction, our faculty also introduces the students to the concept of presenting their artwork to the public. EMC’s Young@ Art program presents an annual exhibit in May of each year. EMC transforms the building into an art gallery for a special evening designed to celebrate the accomplishments of our young artists while teaching them how to behave at an art show. The Young @ Art artists dress nicely for the event and escort their guests throughout the building while presenting their works of art. Refreshments are served and music is performed by EMC Music Academy students.
