Young @ Art

Experimental Movement Concepts is proud to offer art lessons for students ages 4 to 104 in our new Young @ Art studio. Art lessons are taught in a fun, creative environment that encourages students to enjoy the process of creating unique art as much as seeing a finished project.

EMC's objective is to highlight the creativity of each student and to enhance the way art is viewed in everyday life.

Our staff of professional artists and instructors will strive to make art an adventure for students while providing the opportunity to discover the world through art.

Did you know that children who take part in an art program improve in a range of literacy and critical thinking skills, according to a study from the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Art is a precursor to reading and writing because storytelling starts here. Painting and drawing can be beneficial to children who need work on fine motor skills and art is a great confidence booster for those with developmental delays.

Students will learn about the various elements of art and apply their knowledge to many different types of media. In addition to hands on learning, exposure to art history and diverse artists our program will provide students an insight as to how art has shaped life throughout history.

Come and explore the world of art at Experimental Movement Concepts and discover the artist in you.

Art Discovery, Art Adventure, Art Exploration classes will introduce students to a variety of media over the session. Drawing, painting, printmaking, papier mache, fiber arts, sculpture, mosaics, and more will be presented.

All Art Supplies are included in the tuition price.

All students are invited to participate in the Young @ Art Exhibit on Friday, May 23 from 6:00-8:00 pm. (Yes, its Memorial Day Weekend!) It’s a special evening designed to celebrate the accomplishments of our young artists while teaching them how to behave at an art show. Artists are asked to dress for the occasion, use their best manners and escort their guests throughout the space, showing off their art. Wine & Cheese reception and live music (hopefully) top off the night.
