The EMC Facility

Our studio is located in New Freedom, PA, just 20 miles north of Hunt Valley, and 20 miles south of York. Our facility consists of 4 air-conditioned Dance Studios with wood, Marley or sprung floors, a Gymnastics space, 5 Music Practice Rooms and an Art Studio.

There are also several comfortable waiting areas with closed circuit TV monitors or observation windows for viewing the students. A play area for younger siblings, Boutique, and a Café are also on-site. Coffee is always available to make your time here more enjoyable!

Our building was originally constructed in 1885 and served as the Town Hall of New Freedom. It later became New Freedom Hardware and then True Value. The building underwent several renovations and additions through the years, resulting in a unique space with lots of potential for its future use.

Water Coolers
We provide water coolers for our students, however, for the sake of the environment, we do not provide cups. Please send a water bottle with your student each week. Beverages are also available for purchase in the Cafe.

The Closet
EMC’s Boutique It’s all about convenience and affordability at The Closet! We stock dance and gymnastics wear, EMC logo- wear, some music supplies and accessories. In order to keep our prices low, we do not keep a huge inventory. Instead, we will special order the items that you need and they usually arrive within a week. We also offer a Consignment section where you can find some great deals! Parents love buying and selling gently used supplies at bargain prices! Sell your stuff in The Closet and receive a credit on your EMC account for 50% of the sale price.

The Playroom
For your convenience, we offer a small play area that keeps siblings happy while waiting. We ask that parents please monitor their children while in the playroom and encourage them to clean up when they are done. This will help make the Parents’ Lounge more comfortable for everyone.

The Café des Artistes
While waiting, feel free to relax in the Café des Artistes. Coffee, snacks and cold drinks are available year- round. You may also bring your own food along to make lunch or dinner time work with your activity schedule. You are welcome to use our refrigerator and microwave. We ask that you please keep all food and drinks in the Café, and as a courtesy to the other families, clean up after yourselves. As a courtesy to those with nut allergies, we ask that you refrain from bringing nut products into our space.

Parking
As our program grows, parking sometimes is a challenge. We have a small lot in the rear of our building, and street parking is also permitted. We ask that, as a courtesy, you do not park in the marked student drop-off area for more then 3 minutes. Also, the VFW will tow you if you park in their lot. The church on Main Street doesn’t mind if we use their lot (except on Wednesdays and Sundays). Since the toughest times to park at EMC are between 5:00-7:00 on week nights and on Saturday mornings, we encourage parents to car-pool or drop-off and pick-up whenever possible. If you’d like us to receive your child at the front door, call us from your cell-phone and we’ll happily help you out.
