Katie Holtslander, Discovery Gym Director
Katie brings her highly successful gymnastics program to Experimental Movement Concepts in New Freedom. Katie has used her background as a national champion gymnast and formal education in child development to craft a unique program that cultivates your child’s potential. Katie was a gymnastics participant for 13 years including several national championships, training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a Member of the West Virginia University NCAA Division I Women’s Gymnastics Team. Following her gymnastics career, Katie obtained a degree in Child Development, Safety Certification, and has worked continuously in the field of Child Development for 8 years. Some highlights of Katie’s career are coaching many state champions, starting a preschool program, and developing cutting edge cognitive and physical therapy programs for special needs children. Katie credits gymnastics as offering a great source of fun, self esteem, and team work in all children. She is looking forward to emphasizing those ideals while working with you and your child to reach your goals.

Patti Austin
Patti is currently in her third year as a gymnastics instructor for EMC. As a gymnast, Patti performed in many shows on Eastern Long Island where she grew up. She continued her post-graduate education in upstate New York for Early Childhood Education. Patti was head teacher of the toddler program at the North Fork Early Learning Center in Mattituck, Long Island. Other teaching experience includes coaching junior high volleyball, and heading a swimming program for 7 years. After relocating to PA with her husband and two children, Patti taught gymnastics at TNT Gymnastics before joining the EMC family.
