Wednesday and Thursday are Home school Day at EMC! An Arts Program at Experimental Movement Concepts that serves the Home school community.

Wednesday and Thursday at EMC are full of opportunities for your Home school student to earn his/her art, music and gym credits. Click the link below for the schedule of classes:

Dance
Students practice basic stretching techniques, ballet positions, locomotor skills and tap vocabulary. Pattern memorization is introduced. Class etiquette is stressed. Winter performance is optional. Spring performance and costume purchase are required.

Art
Mixed Media Art
Students will learn about the various elements of art and apply their knowledge to many different types of media. In addition to hands on learning, exposure to art history and diverse artists our program will provide students an insight as to how art has shaped life throughout history. Art Discovery classes will introduce students to a variety of media over the session. Drawing, painting, printmaking, papier mache, fiber arts, sculpture, mosaics, and more will be presented.

Music & Voice
Private lessons and group lessons are available through EMC’s Music Academy

Gymnastics
In this class, students are asked to challenge themselves both physically and mentally. Children work on spatial awareness, listening skills and the form and technique neeed to conquer more difficult movement challenges. Cartwheels, round-offs, front head rolls, handstands, vault, bars, and beam are explored.

Notes: Dance and Discovery Gym students are expected to observe a simple dress code. Please inquire.
